Bucharest Radio Stations

Bucharest has a heavy traffic, so many times the best thing you can do is listen to the radio and hope...

In Bucharest you can find a variety of radio stations, most of them playing that kind of stupid but promoted music. There are also a few news radios, like Realitatea Fm(90.2) or News Fm(89.00) and also you can receive some international radios like BBC(88.00) or RFI(Radio France International 93.5). A very good traffic information station is EuropaFm(106.7).
In the end, I would like to talk about what we consider the best Bucharest radios, the radio stations that we listen every day. There are Radio Romantic(101.9) and City Fm(106.2). Romantic has a lot of old and slow music, and almost no ads. CityFm is a rock radio station, that plays a big variety of rock but that also include classics.

Street culture...for Bucharest

Even if Bucharest has a lot of theatres, the National Opera and the National Operetta Theatre, the cultural life in Bucharest is poor. This feeling is obvious in the summer, when people leave the city for holidays and all the cultural institutions close their doors.

But, this night was a surprise for me and my girlfriend: We took a short walk, as we often do in the evening, and we find in the Herastrau Park something very nice: The National Operetta Theatre "Ion Dacian" was giving a live concert in the park. What is even better is that they will do that every Sunday evening until September 14.

Maybe for european cities this could be something usual but for Bucharest is huge, as it's the first time when opera is coming to play in the street. I hope the other cultural institutions will do so. As far as I know, Enescu Festival also has some representation in the street.

So, if you are a Bucharest visitor in this period, don't forget to go there and see that.

Blog about nothing

I don't know if I like the summer or not. I like the sun, but I don't like how I feel when there are 37 degrees outside. And in summer, in Bucharest this is a "normal" temperature. Everything is so hot and we all use for something like this

But, where can we find something like this in Bucharest? To be honest, I don't Know but I'm looking for.

Last year we were going to Tea House, very beautiful near the Polon Street.

Later edited: I just came back from a trip to Venice. It was a great trip. I have traveled with Wizzair and on the boarding magazine was an article about Bucharest from which I found out that Bucharest has a lot of casinos and cafes. And I realized that they are right. But the problem is that I don't want to pay 10 lei ( around 3 euros) for a bad coffee and a horrible service. This is why I sad that in Bucharest is very hard to find a good cafe.

About Bucharest Accomodation Blog

Many people rank a city based on architecture, safety, people, traffic, entertainment possibilities and so on. We visit a city because it has a museum that we would like to see, because it has some quiet streets or because it has the most interesting clubs. But what about the city life? Can we visit a city just because it has a very interesting way to live?

This blog try to help you, the tourist, understand the Bucharest in the way it is: a story of a nice country with all sort of people(many of them stupid) concentrated in a city. A city sometimes dangerous, all time dearth but never sleepy. Probably you are here for some business reasons. Enjoy your trip, read this blog and put a feedback. And try to feel one of the most dynamic city, because not the culture is the keyword in Bucharest.

P.S.: My english is not so good, but I try to improve it. So, any comment regarding grammar mistakes that I make would be useful for me to improve it.
